The Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov: "The development of LISMA should be continued"
The Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov held a working meeting on the development of the factory LISMA on June 12. Its participants were the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economics, Trade and Entrepreneurship Vladimir Mazov, the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry, Science and New Technologies Alexander Sedov, General Director of the factory Igor Konstantinov.
The Head of the Republic of Mordovia emphasized that the lighting industry for the Republic of Mordovia is one of the priorities. The prospects for its development are primarily associated with the modernization of production, the introduction of modern technologies, and ensuring the high quality of products. At the same time, there are objective difficulties, among which are the lack of existing measures to protect domestic producers. A significant part of LISMA nomenclature was banned after a series of federal legislative acts; zero duties on the import of lamps from People's Republic of China led to the dominance of imported products in Russia.
Igor Konstantinov told the Head of the region about promising investment projects, the implementation will allow the factory to reach a new level. This is the output of medical glass and automation of the production of LED filament lamps.
“Glass production will become a real growth point for the enterprise, because LISMA can produce such types of glass that no one in our country makes. After the introduction of economic sanctions, now a number of industries - medical, petrochemical and others - are experiencing a shortage of glass products that were previously imported from abroad. And LISMA may close this need,” said the factory’s General Director.
Last week, an expert group visited the enterprise that praised the glass production and the potential of LISMA as a whole.
Vladimir Volkov noted that the enterprise modernization program, which was implemented with the support of the regional authorities, should be continued.
During the meeting, a plan of priority measures to stabilize the situation was developed; in addition, the Head of the Republic of Mordovia instructed to formulate a program of actions for the medium term as soon as possible, the implementation of will ensure stable operation of the enterprise.
